Statute of Judicial Trainees - Administrative Judicial Council

Article 1

The General Administration of Judicial Inspection is responsible for monitoring the work of the judge trainee in accordance with the provisions set forth in the Judicial Inspection Regulation. It also oversees his training and development programs in coordination with the relevant administration.

Article 2

The judge trainee shall commence their duties on the specified start date, provided that their assignment is in the court designated by the President of the Council until a decision is issued by the Council determining their official location.

Article 3

  • The judge trainee is assigned the following tasks during the probation period:

  • First: Tasks of the chambers; including:

    • A. Studying cases and providing his written opinion on them in light of the principles of the court administrative high and the collection of rulings and administrative principles.

    • B. Attending sessions.

    • C. Drafting judgments and amending them.

    • D. Preparing judicial research and studies.

  • Second: Any tasks that the council or its president deems appropriate to assign him.

  • Third: Preparing a monthly report on his activities according to the prepared model, and the court shall keep a copy of his work.

Article 4

The council may appoint a judge trainee during the probation period in one of the departments based on the proposal of the court president, and such appointment shall not prevent him from being assigned the tasks stipulated in Article Three of this regulation.

Article 5

When a judge trainee is appointed during the probation period in one of the departments, no cases that were referred to the department prior to their commencement shall be assigned to them, and the total number of cases assigned to them shall not exceed half of what is assigned to any member of the department.

Article 6

The supervision of the tasks assigned to the judge trainee, his performance within the court, and his adherence to the duties of his position, as well as the requirements of the judicial work, is the responsibility of the court president or his delegate.

Article 7

This regulation applies to all judges during the probation period.
