The Board shall be the authority in charge of managing the Organization and running its affairs. It shall issue all the decisions necessary to achieve the Organization's objectives in accordance with the provisions of this Statute, and it shall in particular:
1. Set the general policy of the Organization, and monitor its implementation;
2. Approve the organizational chart of the Organization for submission, as per applicable procedures;
3. Issue resolutions and implementing regulations relating to the Organization's work procedure;
4. Approve the final version of Saudi standards and means of implementation thereof;
5. Approve regulations relating to works provided by the Organization to third parties;
6. Appoint one or more auditors of the Organization’s accounts, determine their fees, and approve their reports;
7. Approve technical cooperation programs between the Organization and other standardization agencies;
8. Issue administrative by-laws for the Organization and issue financial regulations in agreement with the Ministry of Finance;
9. Review periodic reports on the Organization's performance;
10.Approve the Organization's draft budget, final account, comptroller's report, and annual report for submission as per applicable procedures;
11.Issue the regulations necessary for the implementation of this Statute;
12.Determine the charges for the services rendered by the Organization within its field, provided that the proceeds from such services are channeled into an independent account to be expended from for purposes determined by the Board in accordance with rules set by it; and
13.Accept gifts, subsidies, grants, aids, bequests, and endowments as per applicable procedures.
14.The Board may form standing or ad hoc committees comprising Board members or others, and entrust them with the tasks it deems fit. The resolution forming a given committee shall name its head and members, and specify its powers. A committee may seek the assistance of any person it deems necessary to carry out the task assigned thereto.
15.The Board may delegate certain powers to the Governor, provided that such delegation is done pursuant to a written resolution.
