Overview of the Law on the Protection of Informants, Witnesses, Experts, and Victims

Introduction

  • The Law on the Protection of Whistleblowers, Witnesses, Experts, and Victims was issued by Royal Decree No. (M/148) dated 8/8/1445 AH. It came into effect on 24/12/1445 AH. Article (36) of the Law stipulates the jurisdiction of each of the following: the Public Prosecution, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Interior, the Presidency of State Security, the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority, and other relevant entities, each concerning their respective responsibilities for preparing the Implementing Regulation of the Law.
