Council of Ministers Decision No. (219) for the year 1448

  • The Council of Ministers

  • After reviewing in its session held under the chairmanship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the correspondence received from the Royal Court No. 911 dated 1445/1/5 AH, including the telegram of the General Panel for Roads No. 78868 dated 1444/12/30 AH, regarding the Draft Statute of the General Panel for Roads.

  • After reviewing the aforementioned draft statute.

  • After reviewing the Organizational Arrangements of the General Panel for Roads, issued by Council of Ministers Decision No. (14) dated 1444/1/4 AH.

  • After reviewing Council of Ministers Decision No. (611) dated 1447/8/22 AH, issued regarding the National Framework for Fees and Financial Charges.

  • After reviewing memoranda No. (114) dated 1446/1/5 AH, No. (3351) dated 1446/10/11 AH, No. (4162) dated 1446/12/28 AH, No. (832) dated 1447/2/25 AH, No. (1462) dated 1447/4/17 AH, and the process No. (136) dated 1447/11/26 AH, prepared by the Bureau of Experts at the Council of Ministers.

  • After reviewing the process prepared by the Council of Economic and Development Affairs No. (1925/47/M) dated 1447/12/25 AH.

  • After reviewing the recommendation of the General Committee of the Council of Ministers No. (1780) dated 1448/2/15 AH.

  • It is decided as follows:

    • First: Approval of the Statute of the General Panel for Roads, in the attached form.
    • Second: The statute referred to in item (First) of this decision shall replace the Organizational Arrangements of the General Panel for Roads, issued by Council of Ministers Decision No. (14) dated 1444/1/4 AH.
    • Third: The exercise of the powers stipulated in paragraph (12) of Article (Six) of the statute referred to in item (First) of this decision shall be by the Board of Directors of the General Panel for Roads in accordance with Council of Ministers Decision No. (611) dated 1447/8/22 AH, issued regarding the National Framework for Fees and Financial Charges.
    • Fourth: The Board of Directors of the General Panel for Roads - formed pursuant to Article (Five) of the Organizational Arrangements of the General Panel for Roads, issued by Council of Ministers Decision No. (14) dated 1444/1/4 AH - shall continue to exercise the powers and competencies of the Board of Directors stipulated in Article (Six) of the statute referred to in item (First) of this decision until the end of its term or until a new Board of Directors for the Panel is formed in accordance with Article (Five) of the statute, whichever is earlier.
    • Fifth: The General Panel for Roads shall continue to carry out operational works related to roads (outside urban areas) including planning, design, implementation, maintenance, and supervision until these works are assigned to other entities.
  • Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud
