Rule 1
The term "discharge" in these regulations refers to discharge for study purposes, which corresponds to "delegation" in the Civil Service Law.

The Department of Judicial Assistants Affairs in the Council, hereinafter referred to as (the competent department), is responsible for the following in these regulations:
A. Formulating the general policy for the discharge of judicial assistants and submitting it to the Council for approval.
B. Identifying the educational institutions and specializations for which discharges are to be made and submitting them to the Council.
C. Receiving requests for discharge, studying them, and submitting them to the Council for approval.
D. Proposing periods for discharge or termination when necessary.
E. Monitoring reports issued regarding the performance of students from educational institutions.
The judge trainee is allowed to dedicate time to obtain a master's degree or diploma in accordance with the provisions stated in these rules.
A- The duration of the leave of absence shall not exceed two years from the date of enrollment in the study, excluding the research phase.
B- The duration of withdrawal and postponement, when approved, shall not be counted towards the leave of absence.
The following conditions must be met for the discharge:
1- The candidate must obtain acceptance from the educational institution specified by the Council.
2- The requested specialization for discharge must be in accordance with the specified specializations.
3- The applicant for discharge must have spent one year in actual training, unless they have enrolled in studies prior to that.
4- The judge trainee must not have been discharged for studies prior to that.
The individual granted study leave must:
A- Attend to his studies diligently and complete them within the period specified by the decision of the study leave.
B- Coordinate with the educational institution he is assigned to in order to submit periodic reports on his performance at the end of each academic semester, and send them to the relevant department in the Council.
C- Commence actual attendance in the Court he is directed to immediately upon the completion of the study leave period.
D- Notify the relevant department immediately in case of any difficulties for any reason (such as a drop in grades or failure, etc.), or if he wishes to discontinue his studies to enable him to attend the Court he is directed to.
A- The individual assigned for study may not delete or postpone except with the approval of the relevant administration according to the following:
1. This must be done with sufficient time to allow for the study of the subject and to make the appropriate decision.
2. There must be valid reasons.
3. There should be no negligence or shortcoming on the part of the individual assigned in their studies.
4. The change should not result in extending the assignment period beyond what was decided, except after a decision from the Council approving that.
5. Deletion or postponement is not allowed during the assignment period except once.
B. The judge trainee is assigned during the period of deletion or postponement to carry out actual attendance in the court to which they are directed.
1. The Council may terminate the assignment in the following cases:
A. If the academic reports received about the assignee indicate that the purpose of the assignment cannot be achieved.
B. Changing the educational institution or specialization, or deletion or postponement without the Council's approval.
C. Breaching the duties of the assignment for study as stated in Rule Six.
2. Upon termination of the assignment in paragraphs (B) and (C) of this Rule, the Council may decide to recover what has been disbursed to the assignee during the period of their assignment, or part of it, including salary and monthly transportation allowance.
