Marine Tourism Watercraft Classification Regulation

Article 1: Definitions

Article II (2): Purpose of the Regulation

This Regulation aims to classify the marine tourism watercrafts used in coastal tourism, in which related Regulations will be issued by the Authority that enables the practice of maritime and marine activities within the Geographical Scope.

Article III (3): Classification of marine tourism watercrafts

Article IV (4): Exceptions

  • This Regulation does not apply the following Marine Craft classification:

    1. Cargo Vessels and barges.

    2.  Warships, personnel carriers, or any other vessels belonging to the State for non-recreational or tourist purposes.

    3.  Commercial vessels operating in non-coastal tourism sector.

    4.  Ferries.

    5.  Speedboats are used in domestic and international races.

    6.  Research vessels.

    7.  Taxi boats.

    8.  Fishing Vessel.

    9.  Fishing Boat.

Article V (5): Adoption and Amendment of the Regulation

This Regulation shall be issued by a resolution of the Board of Directors of the Authority, and approves any amendments thereto, whether by deletion, addition or cancellation.

Article VI (6): Publication and Validity of the Regulation

This Regulation shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall enter into force 90 days after the date of publication.
