Regulations of the Committee for Considering Violations of the Tourism Law and its Regulations

Chapter 1: Definitions

Chapter 2: Formation of the Committee and Membership therein

Article 2

1- A Committee (or more) shall be formed - by a decision of the Minister - consisting of no less than three members, one of whom must be specialized in regulations. The decision shall specify the Chairperson of the Committee, the Vice-Chairperson, and any alternate members, if applicable, and its work shall commence from the date specified in the decision.
2- The term of membership in the Committee shall be three years, renewable by a decision of the Minister.
3- The Minister may specify in the decision to form the Committee its jurisdiction to consider violations related to one or more tourism activities, or to consider violations committed within a specific geographical area.
 

Article 4

The Minister shall determine by decision the following:
1- The rewards of the Committee members, the mechanism for their disbursement, and their entitlement.
2- Setting the minimum and maximum limits for the violations to be studied during each session.

Article 5

A member of the Committee is obligated to the following:
1- Not to disclose any secrets that he has come to know by virtue of his work, even after the termination of his membership in the Committee.
2- To declare if he has a relationship, kinship (up to the fourth degree), interest, or dispute with the violator, and to refrain from considering the violation, which must be documented in the minutes of the hearing.
The Chairman of the Committee, if any of the situations mentioned in paragraph (2) of this article apply to him or to any of the Committee members, and if there is no alternate member, must elevate the matter to the Minister; to take the necessary actions to appoint a substitute member, or to refer the violation to another Committee - if available - .
 

Article 6

The Chairperson of the Committee shall undertake the following tasks:
1- Distributing and organizing the work and tasks among the Committee members in a manner that ensures their completion.
2- Managing the Committee sessions in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation.
3- Communicating with the Ministry or other relevant authorities to request the necessary documents or clarifications regarding the matters presented before the Committee.
4- Reporting to the Minister - or his delegate - any obstacles facing the Committee's work and proposals to address them.
