The container: It is the thing that holds specific information.
Information is divided into three types: -
A - Basic information such as texts, which include correspondence, judicial records, and similar documents.
B - Non-textual basic information, which includes maps, images, drawings, and similar items.
C - Guiding information such as indexes, catalogs, and similar records.
The textual information is recorded on paper media as follows:
A - Important documents are recorded on secure official paper.
B - Official correspondence directed to other agencies is conducted on secure official paper.
C - Official correspondence within the agency is conducted on official paper.
Non-textual information such as maps and images is recorded on the best quality materials and on modern storage media in accordance with modern technologies.
The guiding information should be recorded on information storage media in accordance with modern technologies.
Official paper: It is the one that bears the name of the state, its official emblem, and the name of the authority.
The official security paper: is the one that carries, in addition to what is stated in Article (6), a security feature determined by agreement between the National Center and the Ministry of Finance (Government Printing Press).
The paper container shall be proportionate in quality to the importance of the information recorded therein.
The paper materials intended for use are classified in terms of quality into three types: -
A- Excellent paper: designated for documents requiring permanent preservation.
B- Good paper: designated for documents requiring temporary preservation.
C- Ordinary paper: designated for handwritten drafts.
The government agencies are obligated to adhere to the specifications set forth in the Council of Ministers Resolution No. 126 for the year 1406 AH in any correspondence and attachments they issue.
