According to the regulation of the Economic Cities Authority, the Board of Directors of the Authority is the governing body responsible for the economic cities. The Board is required to achieve and promote security, safety, health, economic prosperity, and the public interest in the economic cities through the Authority, which is managed by the General Secretary. He is the executive responsible for its management and holds full authority to fulfill these duties under this regulation.
The Authority has the right to issue regulatory regulations, internal regulations, policy statements, permits, exemptions, rules, decisions, and orders necessary to perform its duties and to ensure the achievement of security, safety, health, economic prosperity, and public interest in the economic cities. All these regulatory tools shall be binding on developers, operators, investors, employees, residents, and visitors within the economic cities.
The authority alone has the right to request and issue the licenses, permits, and certificates necessary to perform its duties.
All regulatory sectors of the Authority or the Authority's agencies formed according to their regulatory bylaws, or any other entity authorized by the Authority, are managed.
According to the regulations of the Authority, the Authority coordinates with the relevant government entities regarding work permits and environmental regulations, and agrees with the Ministry of Interior on security management and the security regulations applicable in the economic cities.
The Authority shall have all powers to implement the regulations, rules, decisions, and orders in the economic cities approved by the Council.
The Authority shall have the power to settle disputes in economic cities, and it is required to establish a mechanism for dispute resolution.
The Authority shall have the power to issue regulations, rules, policy statements, guidelines, executive decisions, and any other regulatory tools or governance instruments it deems appropriate for the implementation and fulfillment of its duties as stipulated in the Authority's organization and this regulation.
