Based on the powers vested in him by law
Pursuant to the Tourism Law, promulgated by Royal Decree No. (M/18) dated 26/1/1444 AH.
Pursuant to Paragraph (5) of Article Sixteen of the Tourism Law, which provides that “the Minister shall issue a schedule setting out the classification of violations and the corresponding penalties—stipulated in Paragraph (1) of this Article—their amounts and durations, taking into account the gradual application of penalties, provided that the schedule includes violations for which the fine does not exceed ten thousand riyals and which are issued immediately by the competent inspector upon detection.”
With reference to Ministerial Decision No. (2298) dated 19/5/1444 AH, approving the Schedule and Rules of Violations and Penalties for Tourism Activities, as amended by Ministerial Decision No. (1275) dated 13/4/1447 AH.
Based on the requirements of the public interest.
Hereby decides as follows:
- First: Approval of the amendment to the Schedule and Rules of Violations and Penalties for Tourism Activities, in accordance with the attached form.
- Second: The continued application of the Schedule and Rules of Violations and Penalties for the Tourist Hospitality Facility Activity, set out in the annex to Ministerial Decision No. (2298) dated 19/5/1444 AH, as amended by Ministerial Decision No. (1275) dated 13/4/1447 AH, until 25/1/1449 AH, corresponding to 30/6/2027 AD, and the application of the Schedule and Rules of Violations and Penalties attached to this Decision for the Tourist Hospitality Facility Activity shall commence on 26/1/1449 AH, corresponding to 1/7/2027 AD.
- Third: The Schedule and Rules of Violations and Penalties attached to this Decision shall apply to the violation items not included in the Schedule and Rules of Violations and Penalties for the Tourist Hospitality Facility Activity in the Cities of (Makkah and Madinah) During the Hajj Season, issued by Ministerial Decision No. (1448/595) dated 29/2/1448 AH.
- Fourth: This Decision shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall enter into force as of the date of its publication.
- Fifth: This Decision repeals all decisions that conflict with it.
- Sixth: This Decision shall be communicated to those concerned for its enforcement and implementation.
