Statute of the Endowment Fund for the Construction, Maintenance and Operation of Mosques

  • After reviewing the correspondence received from the Diwan of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers No. 9/B/45820 dated 25/9/1424 AH, which includes what was submitted by His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Dawah and Guidance, Chairman of the Supreme Endowments Council, in his telegram No. 3247/4/5 dated 22/9/1423 AH, accompanied by a copy of the minutes of the committee formed by Royal Order No. (9/B/2958) dated 11/2/1422 AH, to study the proposal of the Riyadh Region Council to allocate an endowment for each mosque to be a fixed source of funding for its needs, which was approved by the Supreme Endowments Council.

  • After reviewing the Law of the Supreme Endowments Council issued by Royal Decree No. (M/35) dated 18/7/1386 AH.

  • After reviewing the minutes No. (15) dated 11/1/1425 AH.

  • After reviewing the recommendations of the General Committee of the Council of Ministers No. (197) dated 7/3/1425 AH and No. (240) dated 28/3/1425 AH.

  • It is decided as follows:

The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs continues to allocate lands on main streets with sufficient areas to accommodate the establishment of mosques and their facilities, as well as endowment projects for mosques.

The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs works on increasing the percentage of land allocated for mosques in new plans.

The branches of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Dawah, and Guidance must obtain building permits for mosques, their annexes, and endowment projects for mosques, in accordance with the regulations followed in this regard.
