The following terms shall have the meanings assigned to them:
Association: Saudi Arabian Scout Association.
Council: The Board of Directors of the Association formed in accordance with Article Eight of this Law.
President: The President of the Board of Directors of the Association.
The Saudi Arabian Scout Association, an entity with legal personality, headquartered in the city of Riyadh, may establish branches and offices of the association throughout the Kingdom.
The association aims to promote, encourage, and organize the scouting movement throughout the Kingdom, contribute to the preparation of youth, guide them, and prepare them morally, culturally, and socially, and develop their sense of duty towards God Almighty, then the King, and the homeland.
The Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia sponsors the association, supports the scouting movement in the country, and assists it financially and morally.
The Saudi Arabian Scout Association supervises the scouting movement in the Kingdom in accordance with the applicable regulations in the country.
The association shall not engage in political or commercial matters or in any other matters that conflict with the objectives of the scouting movement.
The association undertakes the necessary tasks to achieve its objectives within the framework of the principles, rules, and teachings of Arab and international scouting systems, taking into account the historical, social, and cultural realities of the country and in light of the teachings of Islam. It specifically undertakes the following:
A- Promoting the scouting movement throughout the Kingdom and developing it to contribute to community development and the building of a good citizen.
B- Drawing up the general plan for the scouting movement in the Kingdom.
C- Organizing participation in conferences, seminars, courses, and camps at the Arab, Islamic, and international levels, and supervising the preparation of scouting delegations that represent the Kingdom in various scouting activities in the Arab, Islamic, and international arenas.
D- Supervising scouting activities and their public meetings in the Kingdom.
E- Awarding scouting medals to those who support the scouting movement.
F- Participating with the relevant authorities whenever necessary in pilgrimage activities, serving pilgrims, and organizing traffic weeks and other events.
