Government information and data are a national treasure, and all government entities must develop them.
The government entities classify their information and data according to standardized levels and specifications set by the Government Electronic Transactions Program (hereinafter referred to as "the Program").
Every government entity must preserve its documents electronically.
Each government entity must avoid duplication and repetition in information and data regulations. The program coordinates with other government entities to ensure the integration of information and data, so that there is one entity responsible for maintaining information and data of the same type according to its jurisdiction, ensuring that there is no repetition and duplication, conflict of information and data, and multiple sources, while ensuring the existence of a backup copy for each database of information and data.
Every government entity shall manage its own information and data repositories and make the shared data available electronically to other benefiting government entities to enable the integration of data between government agencies and facilitate the provision of government services electronically, in accordance with the requirements set forth by the program.
The government entities must establish and follow a specific and clear mechanism for updating the information and data recorded in their databases, to ensure its accuracy.
Every government entity must electronically rely on the information and data available from the relevant authorities, and reduce the information and data required to be submitted in government service forms and templates, and not request information or data from applicants for government services except in cases that necessitate it, in order to complete the service for the beneficiary.
All government entities are required to obligate all their employees to adhere to the standards related to privacy protection, and access to the information and data of applicants for government services is only permitted by the employees responsible for providing these services. Government entities shall take the necessary measures to ensure this right for the beneficiaries.
