The Council of Ministers
After reviewing in its session held under the chairmanship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the correspondence received from the Royal Court No. 50543 dated 21/6/1447 AH, including the telegram of His Excellency the Minister of Health, Chairman of the Saudi Health Council No. 24841 dated 18/6/1447 AH regarding the amendment of the Statute of the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions.
After reviewing the Statute of the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions, issued by Council of Ministers decision No. (346) dated 22/7/1436 AH.
After reviewing memorandum No. (3836) dated 16/11/1447 AH, prepared by the Bureau of Experts at the Council of Ministers.
After reviewing the minutes prepared by the Council of Economic and Development Affairs No. (1870/47/M) dated 18/12/1447 AH.
After reviewing the recommendation of the General Committee of the Council of Ministers No. (729) dated 19/1/1448 AH.
It is decided:
To amend the Statute of the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions, issued by Council of Ministers decision No. (346) dated 22/7/1436 AH, as follows:
- 1- Adding a paragraph to Article (Three) thereof, stating the following: "The Board may provide accreditation services for healthcare institutions located outside the Kingdom, according to regulations approved by the Council."
- 2- Adding a paragraph to Article (Six) thereof, stating the following: "Proposing regulations for providing accreditation services to healthcare institutions located outside the Kingdom, provided that these regulations include procedures for coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant entities deemed appropriate by the Committee, in preparation for their approval by the Council."
